If you want to experience the full range of Pilates exercises – on the mat and the equipment – I recommend you start with several private sessions. Together, we will develop Pilates and/or MELT workouts that are perfectly tailored to fit your body's needs. Over the years, I have helped a range of clients from spry teens to people recovering from surgeries to older people with severe limitations. Between Pilates and MELT, there is a workout that will help strengthen every individual, no matter what your current condition.
I always suggest that first-time students begin with a few private sessions. This will enable me to get to know your body and you to get a sense of how the work feels when done correctly. This feeling will serve as a guide when you are in a group class or working out at home.
Studio Reset offers an introductory package so that you can learn the vocabulary, become familiar with the order of the exercises, and get yourself ready for a group class, if that is your goal. Group classes are more cost-effective and will provide you with an excellent workout. For those of you who are willing to commit more to the process, there is no substitute for a private session.
